Santa Rosa , CA – Redwood Credit Union (RCU) recently participated in the Big Brothers/Big Sisters (BBBS) Bowl for Kids’ Sake fundraiser supporting the BBBS of the North Bay. 18 RCU employees participated in the San Rafael and Rohnert Park events, held in March and April. The RCU teams raised more than $5,000, helping BBBS to exceed a total of $115,000. By striking up competition among the team for the highest score, RCU employees were able to increase their totals one pin at a time.
“RCU is committed to supporting local non-profits and we are proud to partner with BBBS to improve the lives of children through positive role models and mentorship,” said Judy Sepik, RCU’s Assistant Vice President of Branch Operations and event coordinator for Bowl for Kids’ Sake. “At events like this, we are reminded of the impact we can have on our communities.”
RCU is committed to the communities they serve, and in 2008 Officials and employees volunteered more than 2,800 of their time to participate in over 200 community events benefiting a wide variety of non-profit organizations including local Volunteer Centers, the American Cancer Society, United Way and Salvation Army.
