RCU Offers Info on Financial Wellness at Cesar Chavez Health Fair
Santa Rosa , CA – Redwood Credit Union (RCU) recently sponsored the Cesar Chavez Health Fair in Santa Rosa – an annual event that centers on health education and awareness for families, particularly among the Hispanic community. General messages included eating well, exercise, hygiene, alcohol/tobacco awareness and encouraging parents to teach their kids the right messages about growing up healthy.

Volunteers from RCU were on-hand at the event to provide information about the importance of financial wellness in reducing stress, anxiety and other potential health issues such as high blood pressure. RCU’s mascot, Reddy the Redwood, was also at the event to entertain children and promote the message that saving is fun.
“RCU has been a proud supporter of the Cesar Chavez Health Fair for the past 5 years,” said Rene Meza, Branch Manager for RCU’s Mendocino Avenue branch. “Our message of financial well-being is particularly relevant in today’s challenging economy, and we are committed to helping our Members and communities find solutions to their financial concerns so that they can enjoy peace of mind.”
