Redwood Credit Union Goes Red for Healthy Hearts
RCU Employees Demonstrate Strong Support for “National Wear Red Day”
Santa Rosa, CA – Redwood Credit Union employees showed their commitment to heart health awareness by wearing red on the American Heart Association’s (AHA’s) “National Wear Red Day,” February 6, 2009. As part of their participation in the AHA”s “Go Red for Women” program, RCU staffers wore red to increase awareness that heart disease is the number one killer of women in America, and to promote healthy lifestyle for men and women choices to prevent heart disease.
“RCU is proud to show our support by wearing red to help raise awareness for heart health, and as a reminder to our Members and communities that there are simple steps everyone can take to help prevent heart disease,” said Robin McKenzie, Senior Vice President.
RCU actively supports and participates in a variety of community programs throughout the year, including the Sonoma, Marin & Mendocino County Human Races, the American Red Cross, the Sonoma County Volunteer Center, Salvation Army, and United Way.
