Santa Rosa , CA – Redwood Credit Union (RCU) recently assisted the Harvest for the Hungry Garden by handling all of the set-up and clean-up needs for their Annual Spring Sale Fundraiser. A team of 7 RCU employees started their day early on Saturday, April 25, to prepare the volunteers from Harvest for the Hungry for a busy day of organic plant and vegetable sales. Each year RCU teams up with Harvest for the Hungry to support their annual spring fundraiser and joins their volunteers in the Garden again in the fall for National Make a Difference Day. This 10-year-plus partnership earned RCU the 2008 Volunteer Center of Sonoma County Agilent Community Challenge Award.
“RCU is committed to supporting local non-profits and we are passionate about the work that Harvest for the Hungry does for our local communities,” said Anne Benjamin, Chief Operations Officer at Redwood Credit Union. “We are proud to have worked with Marguerite and her team for more than 10 years and are looking forward to continuing that partnership in the future!”

RCU is committed to the communities they serve, and in 2008 employees and Officials volunteered more than 2,800 of their time to participate in over 200 community events benefiting a wide variety of non-profit organizations including local Volunteer Centers, the American Cancer Society, United Way and Salvation Army.
