Redwood Credit Union Goes Red for Heart Health
RCU Employees Support “National Wear Red Day” & the Fight Against Heart Disease
Santa Rosa, CA –Redwood Credit Union employees showed their commitment to heart health awareness by wearing red on the American Heart Association’s (AHA’s) National Wear Red Day, February 5, 2010, to increase awareness of heart disease as the number 1 killer of American women. In addition, all of the Credit Union’s 15 branch locations accepted donations to the American Heart Association.
“RCU is proud to show our support by wearing red to help raise awareness for heart health, and as a reminder to our Members and communities that there are simple steps everyone can take to help prevent heart disease,” said Robin McKenzie, Senior Vice President.
RCU actively supports and participates in a variety of community programs throughout the year, including the Sonoma, Marin & Mendocino County Human Races, the American Red Cross, the Cesar Chávez Health Fair, Sonoma County Volunteer Center, United Way and more.
