Redwood Credit Union Sponsors Heart of Marin Excellence Award
RCU’s Sponsorship Allows Center to Extend Additional Nonprofit Recognition
San Rafael, CA– Redwood Credit Union (RCU) joined the roster of sponsors for the 19th Annual Heart of Marin Awards held January 5, 2012 at the Marin Center. The Heart of Marin Awards, produced by the Center for Volunteer and Nonprofit Leadership (Center), has provided funding and recognition to hundreds of nonprofit organizations, schools and youth volunteers since 1992. RCU sponsored one of two awards for Achievement in Non-Profit Excellence, and RCU President & CEO Brett Martinez attended the event to present the award to the Point Reyes National Seashore Association.
“The Center for Volunteer and Nonprofit Leadership is grateful to Redwood Credit Union for their generous support of the 19th Annual Heart of Marin Awards,” said Linda Davis, Chief Executive Officer of the Center. “Because of their contribution, we were able for the first time to recognize two nonprofits of varying size with the Achievement in Nonprofit Excellence award.”
