Bilingual Trainer

Exceptional Service ~ Exceptional People.

Redwood Credit Union, voted by our employees as one of the “Best Places to Work” in North Bay Business Journal for the 4th consecutive year, is looking for an accomplished Bilingual Trainer.

This position is responsible for planning, coordinating and facilitating a wide variety of internal and external training programs.  Through the delivery of training they will inspire our employees to passionately provide exceptional service to our Members.  They will also facilitate and deliver Member educational seminars on numerous topics to a wide range of audiences.

The trainer is responsible for developing and maintaining course materials for all training programs provided by Redwood Credit Union.   The trainer is also responsible for maintaining training calendars, records, tracking and reporting training results.

The successful candidate will have bilingual Spanish – English skills, a minimum of 3 years of professional training experience. Training experience in a financial institution would be a plus.  Strong verbal and written communication skills and the demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced team environment are also required.

Essential Functions

Customer Service

  • Greet Members and answers incoming telephone calls.
  • Call Members referred to the auto-buying center by branch, Member Service Center or other referrals to set appointments or sell vehicles.

Auto Sales

  • Research, recommends, locates and sells brokered new and used vehicles, as needed.
  • Compare different vehicles to facilitate the Member’s purchase of their desired vehicle.
  • Sell vehicles displayed on the auto buying center lot.
  • Meet with Members to research and analyze their desired vehicle(s).
  • Organize and arranges timely transportation for brokered vehicles.
  • Evaluate and recommends appropriate financing for Members when needed.
  • Prepare paperwork for the sale of the vehicle and loan.
  • Arrange installation of aftermarket items purchased by Members in a timely manner.
  • Sell mechanical breakdown warranties, guaranteed auto protection coverage and other vehicle related items.
  • Collect trade-in titling documents and obtain loan payoff information.
  • Gather Member information for submission of loan applications.
  • Collaborates with Sales Manager to provide trade-in pricing.
  • Ensure maximum flexibility to assist in a variety of functions as necessary.

Non-Essential Functions

  • Implements new CUSO/Credit Union related products and services with other employees of RCU Auto Services as needed.
  • Organize, schedule and arrange the transport of vehicles for reconditioning.
  • Conducts seminars as needed.
  • Provides feedback on marketing efforts.
  • Visits branches/departments to promote the Auto Buying Center.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Record and maintain Sell Net information

  • Knowledge of types and accessories on automobiles.
  • Excellent service skills.
  • Skill in the operation of personal computers with office software and printers.
  • Skill in the operation of modern office equipment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to effectively sell automobiles and/or other vehicles.
  • Ability to process vehicle sales paperwork.
  • Ability to coordinate a variety of activities simultaneously and prioritize work.
  • Ability and knowledge to sell automobile accessories, mechanical break down warranties, guaranteed auto protection (GAP), and Perma Plate
  • Ability and desire to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to work weekends.
  • Ability to research and locate new and used automobiles.
  • Ability to analyze situations and recommend workable solutions for Members.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse group of people.

Licenses and Certifications

  • Ability to qualify for DMV Salesperson License.
  • Maintain a valid California Driver’s License.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift 35 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.

We are looking for a Human Resources Representative with a strong focus on providing outstanding service, that is able to coordinate a variety of human resource activities in support of our Vision, Mission, Service Standards and Values.  Responsibilities include maintaining HRIS and recordkeeping systems, administering health benefits, coordinating employee recognition and compliance programs, managing the Employee Relations intranet page, administering safety and security programs, general administration, and event coordination. 

The Human Resources Representative will be the champion for:

  • Primary Administrator for the HRIS system – ensuring the accuracy and the completeness of the information.
  • Generating reports from the HRIS system.
  • Coordinating communications of benefits information to employees, including new employee orientation.
  • Coordinating enrollment and changes to employee’ benefit elections.
  • Planning and coordinating wellness and employee education activities including EAP seminars, health fairs, and related activities.
  • Reconciling and ensuring timely payment of monthly group benefits billings.
  • Coordinating activities of Employee of the Month, Employee of the Year, and Foundation Award employee recognition programs.
  • Coordinating, attending and helping to ensure quality execution of all events including pre-planning coordination, staffing, and post assessment tools.
  • General administration for the Human Resources Department.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience working within the human resources function
  • Adept at working with HRIS systems and generating reports
  • Basic knowledge of benefits administration.
  • Outstanding computer and technology skills (Microsoft Suite) and Intranet and Internet experience.
  • Ability to thrive in a changing, deadline oriented environment that requires an attention to detail.
  • Ability to work and act independently with discretion and tact.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to analyze situations and recommend workable solutions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to coordinate a variety of activities simultaneously and prioritize work to meet deadlines.

Education and Experience

A combination of education and experience equivalent to a two-year college degree and two years experience in human resources.

POSITION SUMMARY:  Under general supervision, performs routine teller work, provides excellent member service, and contributes to the success of the branch by selling and referring Credit Union products and services.

Essential Functions

Sales & Service

  • Provide exceptional member service to all Members, volunteers, internal employees, and service providers. 
  • Explain products and services to Members to meet their needs.  Cross-sells RCU and RCUSG products and services.
  • Provide information to Members’ questions or directs them to the appropriate person or department for assistance.
  • Safeguard member information and ensure confidentiality by following established policy and procedures.

Transactions

  • Complete Members’ transactions accurately and efficiently using established policies and procedures.
  • Balance cash, checks, and maintain proper documentation.

Team Work

  • Attend and contributes to departmental meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Perform branch opening and closing duties.

Non-Essential Functions

  • Establish basic products and services for members.
  • Complete orders for Credit Union forms and supplies.
  • Participate in Credit Union committees.

Minimum Qualifications:
