Redwood Credit Union is committed to protecting our Members’ information and you can be assured that our systems are secure. We use the most current methods and technologies to keep your information safe. In addition to safeguarding our Members’ data, we also have fraud monitoring systems in place to help us identify unusual activity and prevent fraud from occurring.
From time to time, you may hear or see news reports about credit or debit card information compromises. While RCU takes every precaution to protect your information, credit and debit card compromises can, unfortunately, still occur in a variety of other places, including retailers, restaurants, and online. If at any time we learn that RCU Members may be affected by such an occurrence, we respond immediately by evaluating the compromise, taking steps to closely monitor Member accounts for unusual activity, notifying Members, and in some cases, blocking and reissuing cards. We take these incidents very seriously, and are committed to protecting our Members’ information and account integrity by whatever means necessary.
RCU Visa credit and debit cards give you the peace of mind of Visa’s Zero Liability policy.* With Zero Liability, you are not responsible for any fraudulent charges made with your card or account information. You can also add an additional level of protection to your online transactions by enrolling in Verified by Visa.
We strongly recommend that all Members regularly review their statements and transaction records to monitor their debit and credit card accounts, and report any suspicious activity immediately. Please contact us at (707) 545-4000 or 1 (800) 479-7928 with any questions or concerns you may have.
