Redwood Credit Union (RCU) is now providing Verified by Visa (VBV), a FREE service which offers Members additional layers of security to help protect you from fraud.

When you're using your RCU Visa Credit and Debit cards to make purchases, VBV provides reassurance that only you can use your Visa card online. If you haven't signed up already, now is the perfect time to begin enjoying the benefit of VBV. Simply activate your card for this service and create your personal password, and enjoy the added confidence that your Visa card is safe when you shop at the growing number of participating online stores.

Activating Your Card

You may activate VBV for your Visa card in two ways: Activate now or activate during shopping. See below for more information.

You may activate VBV here by entering your card number over Visa’s secure server. You’ll complete a brief activation process during which your identity will be verified, create your Verified by Visa password and you’re done! To activate click this link and follow the simple directions.

Your card is automatically recognized

Once your card is activated with the VBV service, your card number will be recognized whenever you purchase at participating online stores. You'll enter your password in the VBV window, your identity will be verified, and the transaction will be completed. At online stores that are not yet participating in Verified by Visa, your Visa card will continue to work as usual.
