With the credit union philosophy of "people helping people" in mind, RCU participates in a number of programs to help our local communities.
One Community One Dream Redwood Credit Union is a proud sponsor of the Human Race in three of the counties we serve: Sonoma, Marin and Mendocino. The Human Race is a nationwide community fundraising event for nonprofit organizations and is the largest collaborative fund-raising event in Sonoma County as well as the largest Human Race in the nation! Each year, an enthusiastic RCU team participates in each of these three races to support our communities and raise funds for local non-profits.
Each year the Luther Burbank Rose Parade & Festival draws more than 3,500 participants to downtown Santa Rosa with over 120 entries, including high school bands, drill teams, dance troops, non-profit groups, equestrians, clowns and of course, politicians. In addition, it takes more than 300 volunteers each year to coordinate different aspects of the parade and festival. For more information visit: www.roseparadefestival.com/
