I often talk about our mission: to passionately serve the best interests of our Members, employees, and communities. What it boils down to is, above all else, we love to help people. We have an incredible staff who are passionate about helping our
Members, our community, and each other—every single day. That’s not a coincidence; thoughtfulness and empathy are natural traits of the people we hire.
Every spring, we empower our employees to go out and do “random acts of kindness” in our communities. It’s not about charitable giving or volunteering or helping someone fund a loan – those things are all part of our everyday business.
Our random acts are meant to be just that: do something nice for someone who’s not expecting it.
Some of the recent random acts our employees performed included: paying the adoption fees at local shelters for people adopting pets, buying donuts for construction workers rebuilding homes, paying for a stranger’s groceries or gas, and giving out
gift cards for coffee. Our employees love doing this. In fact, several have said they enjoyed the experience so much that they continue to commit random acts on their own.
But that’s just one example of living our mission here at Redwood Credit Union. Every week, teams of our employees are out volunteering at local nonprofits and events to connect with our communities and help make them stronger. Our commitment
to our Members and communities is one of the things our employees say they love most about working at RCU.
And every day, our staff is hard at work to help make a difference in your life. Whether it’s making improvements to our mobile app so you can have more control of your accounts, or helping you with a loan to buy a new RV for summer road trips,
