Approximately 365 local residents brought old financial documents and other confidential paperwork—15,800 lbs in total—to be shredded securely on-site by Shred-IT. Approximately 1,000 lbs of electronic waste (e-waste) was also disposed of safely by Conservation Corps North Bay.

“Shredding sensitive documents—such as old financial statements and bills—is one of the best precautions people can take against identity theft, so we were happy to once again provide this service to our community,” said Matt Martin, RCU’s vice president of community and government relations.
