Why do I need to enter a security verification code?

For the enhanced security of your accounts, some activities in RCU Online banking activities require a verification code. You'll be asked to follow the verification code process when you:

  • Register a new RCU Online account
  • Edit your user profile information
  • Edit your contact information
  • Change your user name
  • Change your password
  • Add a new financial institution for external transfers

When you perform any of these actions using RCU Online, we'll send you a verification code via the method you select: email, text message or voice message. You will then be prompted to enter your verification code to complete the action. Your verification code is valid for 10 minutes. (If you do not use your code within 10 minutes, you will need to restart the verification process to obtain a new code.)
