Why can I see my transaction pending in online banking but it has not posted to the account?
If an employer or company submits the ACH file early, it will appear as "pending" in RCU online banking. RCU has not yet received the funds from the Federal Reserve Bank, so the transaction is not final.
RCU posts transactions by settlement date. The company sending the transaction assigns a processing date and the Federal Reserve Bank assigns it a settlement date based on when they receive the file. Sometimes companies and employers have delays and they do not send the files in time to make the processing date. When this occurs the settlement date may be different from the processing date.
