Together, We Make Our Communities Stronger

March 27, 2026

Brett Martinez

At Redwood Credit Union, we’re about more than banking—we’re about people helping people. Because we’re Member-owned, everything we do starts with you. When you choose RCU, you’re not just choosing a place to bank, you’re helping to strengthen lives and communities across the North Bay and San Francisco.

The impact of your membership reaches far beyond your account—often in ways you may never see, but it changes lives every day. Last year, we partnered with more than 300 local nonprofits, and our team members volunteered over 5,000 hours to support real needs, from fighting hunger, to helping families stay in their homes, and keeping our communities healthy and strong. We also gave $5.18 million back to our communities, making RCU one of the region’s leading community givers. This work reflects our shared commitment to elevating the well-being of the communities we call home.

When you’re a Member of RCU, you’re not just managing money. You’re making dreams possible. Everyday financial moments add up, and together they create real progress over time. Last year alone, we funded more than 68,000 loans, helping Members buy homes, get to work, pursue education, and move forward with confidence.

We also invested in people, not just products. Through our new Certified Financial Coach program, our team members provided thousands of free, one on one coaching conversations, helping Members turn goals into plans, and plans into action.

And through new automatic savings tools, Members saved $2.85 million, often through small, effortless steps that grow into meaningful milestones. For many, that progress becomes the key to a first home, made possible with the help of down payment assistance and a community that believes in them.

That’s the power of membership at RCU—small steps, shared support, and dreams that move closer within reach.

Behind every number is a real person and a real story. To see more of what we’ve accomplished together, I invite you to read our 2025 Community & Social Impact Report. Simply by banking with us, you are helping make a difference.

If you’d like to do even more, here are two simple ways:

  • Support the Redwood Credit Union Community Fund
Our nonprofit supports financial education, disaster relief, helping families stay housed, and the health and well being of our communities. Every dollar donated goes directly to vital community initiatives like our Down Payment Assistance program. You can give one time or monthly through digital banking by selecting Move Money.
  • Invite others to join RCU
When you refer family, friends, or colleagues, you help grow our cooperative and expand our ability to give, volunteer, and support local needs.

Together, we are building stronger communities. Thank you for being a Member and for the role you play in making a difference.

Best regards,

Brett Martinez
