The security of our Members’ accounts and information is our top priority. As we navigate an ever-evolving digital world, we remain committed to protecting your personal and financial information. RCU has sophisticated security systems and technology in place, and we are continually monitoring and updating to ensure our Members’ accounts are safe. Our fraud detection systems are quick to catch unusual activity and notify you if a transaction needs validation. If we find out a card has been compromised, we respond immediately so you can quickly have access to a new digital card you can use in your mobile wallet until your physical card arrives. RCU’s systems are secure, but the places you use your card may not always adhere to the highest security standards. It’s important to be vigilant.

In addition to our internal security systems, we also provide you with many tools and resources that can help you protect yourself from fraud and scams. You have the power of control. Whenever possible, for added security, use the tap feature of your RCU card or mobile wallet. You can monitor your accounts anytime, anywhere with digital banking. You can also use digital banking to set up alerts to notify you when certain transactions happen on your account, for example, foreign transactions or transactions over a certain dollar amount. You can immediately freeze your cards if they are ever lost or stolen. We also have a robust online fraud education center so you can learn about the most common scams and how to avoid them. I encourage you to take advantage of all of these resources to protect your accounts and information. And our helpful team is always willing to show you how.

As a final tip: never share your account, login, or one-time passcode information with anyone. RCU and other companies you trust will never ask you for this information… but fraudsters will try. If you are ever suspicious of an phone call, email, social media message, or text. Hang up. Don’t respond. Log in to your account to send us a secure message or call us using a trusted number from our website. Security is a shared responsibility, and by partnering together, we can continue to provide you with secure financial services.
